- Jane Donovan from LBCC will stop by to discuss the Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) Travel Series from Prague to Paris and a Cruise Clint Dean: Sunday, January 28, 2:00 pm in the Russell Tripp Performance Center on the LBCC Main Campus.
The films, hosted by the filmmakers (so you can interact with them), will be shown on Sunday Afternoons. Future dates and feature files are: February 18 Ireland- Celtic Myths and Splendors with filmmaker Sandy Mortimer and on April 22 Israel Today by Fran Reidelberger.

The event this year is on Saturday, January 20, 2007, doors open at 6:30pm. West Albany High School, 1130 Queen Ave SW, Albany. Brought to you by the Albany Public Schools Foundation.
Winterfest features the musical talents of Jamie's Rock & Roll Legends, with feature performances by Elvis, Johnny Cash and a cameo by Mr. Hank Williams. The evening will also feature the musical talents of Albany Public School student musicians from elementary through high school.
It will be a flash back in time as former "Top 40" DJ's Radio Ray Peitz and Jim Willhight from 1580 KGAL / 920 KSHO MC this event.
Concession food will be available to patrons. Also there is a Silent Auction.

- Saturday, January 13th is National Amber Alert Day. All week we aired Amber Alert Awareness Week announcements. Joining us from the Oregon Association of Broadcasters, was Bill Johnstone Executive Director to discuss Radio and Television participation in the Amber Alert program.
Lt. James Rentz from the Oregon State Police also made it to Albany, inspite of our local snow storm, and discussed OSP's role as statewide Amber Alert Coordinator.

#9- 10/14/04 Mt. Angel. This child was recovered when a tip from a Sweet Home Boy who heard the amber alert saw the suspect while hunting with his father. The tip resulted in the recovery of the abducted child only after a shoot out with Linn County Sheriff Deputies Micah W. Smith and Corporal Michael Harmon. The Deputies received a National Missing Children's Law Enforcement Award for recovering 11-year-old Tanner Kahn, who disappeared while waiting at a bus stop. The kidnapper in the course of the recovery fired upon the officers. For more information and pictures of Deputies Micah W. - In December the Brass Ring, a Non-Profit Corporation, announced the purchase of the "Crafts" building in First and Washington in Historic Downtown Albany. This location will be the site of the World Denzel Carousel Museum and the restored historic Carousel. Joining us will be President of the Non Profit Corporation, Wendy Kirby.
