Joining Valley Talk Host Jim Willhight for the first topic will be Rick Rogers the Executive Director of the Albany Downtown Association. We will discuss this Friday's Upstairs Downtown Tour and the growth in Historic Riverfront District of Albany.
The annual Upstairs Downtown Tour will take place on May 2, 2008 from 4 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitors will get a chance to see some of the unique urban living spaces in the in the upper stories of downtown buildings, some of which have not been open to the public for years.
Second two's topic: The Lebanon Boys and Girls Club's annual auction. Joining us will be the club's Executive Director Jason Utzee.[Audio Archive Mp3 File].

New Local Talk Show!
Topic will focus on issues effecting those 55+ years of age and their children. Live and Local Radio!
Join Valley Talk Host Jim Willhight and Show Co-Host Mollie Kerins interview Jerry shipman from the Volunteer Caregivers of Albany. They are a non-profit organization that works with and for the low income senior citizens in the Albany school district who need physical assistance with such things as transportation to medical appointments, wheel chair ramps, grab bars, etc.
We will discuss the April 4th showing by OPB and AARP of a documentary program titled "Caring for your Parents", exploring such complex issues as keeping your parents at home, the tension between siblings, finances, death and ultimately, love
There will be a similar program presented by AARP and The Volunteer Caregivers on May 4th. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on 34th and Columbus Sts. in Albany. This program will begin at 12:30 PM in the fellowship hall. There will be table manned by the parish nurses as well. AARP will have hand-out material for all who attend. This information will be beneficial to anyone who is caring for a loved one or who will in the near future. [Audio Archive Mp3 File].

The second segment of the show will feature the upcoming Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce 2008 BizExpo. The event is next week, Tuesday, April 22nd. We will be broadcasting Valley Talk live on location of this event.

We will discuss the 80+ vendors, contests, entertainment, demonstrations and live radio broadcast from next Tuesday's event.

Trillium's biggest fund raising event in the Mid-Valley Region is Denim & Diamonds set for Saturday, April 26th. Denim & Diamonds is a less formal dinner and auction which benefits all children's programs but specifically targets the Therapeutic Horse Program at Children's Farm Home.
