Wednesday, 11/18/2009 Mp3 file. Joining us Bethany Henry and Joy Henley.
We introduced Bethany Henry as our new Intern and Co-Host of Youth Talk a new monthly Valley Talk Program. The monthly "Youth Talk" live and local radio program is a part of our Valley Talk and will air the third Wednesday of every month with the debut show on Wednesday, December 16th at 11:06am.
Joining us for the second segment of the show was Joy Henley (former Mrs. Jim Willhight) of Muncie, Indiana. Joy is the author of the new book "Off The Papers: What The Family Court Drama Taught". Joy Henley is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Juliette Gilbert Association for the Prevention of the Parental Abduction of Children.
Off the papers is a phrase commonly used by non-custodial parents. It is the time when daughters and sons reach legal age or the court ceases jurisdiction over them. The family court drama ends, and parenting plans, child support orders, judges’ rulings and litigation are history. This is an anticipated day, especially when parental alienation and/or false allegations occurred during the court process. Your now adult child can know the truth, and have freedom to love both parents. Perhaps this day has already happened for you, is happening soon, or is a long way down the road.
Her book contains a common sense compilation of everyday themes, resulting from years of family court journeys. It will provide you with a valuable, priceless education. If you love a child, this book is for you.
Joy Henley lists among her most important credentials being a custodial parent, non-custodial parent, step-parent and single parent. She is considered a leading authority regarding non-custodial parent issues. She has been a social worker since 1980 and she has advocated for and supported non-custodial mothers since 1986. She is a former Commissioner on the Washington State Child Support Schedule Commission - an appointment by the governor. She is a newspaper correspondent. She is also an educator of parental alienation, hostile-aggressive parenting, trauma bonds and parental abduction issues. She is the founder/executive director of the Juliette Gilbert Association for the Prevention of the Parental Abduction of Children. She is also the author of But It Only Happened Once.
Joy's book is published by Publishamerica and is available at Amazon Books.
