It's a six hour live on location radio broadcast
Join 1580 KGAL's and 920 KSHO from the event organized by the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce.
We start the broadcast at 10:06am on Unforgettable 920 KSHO. For the 11am hour it's live with Valley Talk's Average Guy's Investment Talk Show with John Gibson and Jim Willhight on 1580 KGAL.
Then at noon its back for a four more hours (possibly more) on sister station Unforgettable 920 KSHO.

Featuring: trumpet player Chris Chapman and his Oregon State University Jazz Band, Seven Oak Middle School Jazz Band and Lebanon High School Jazz Band.

The music starts at 7PM and ends about 8:30PM.
Variety of good food is available at the park each week.
Opportunity each week to make a free-will donation to help keep the concert series going.
This series of concerts offers a variety of good live music without huge crowds or parking hassles.
The groups generally Northwest based and include professional and part-time musicians.

Monday, July 12 - Willamette Valley Concert Band:
Under the direction of Dr. Richard Sorenson, this 50 piece community band will play everything from rousing marches to Broadway musicals to classical masterpieces. Band music is made to order for a concert in the park and this is sure to be a stimulating beginning to the Monday concert season.
Monday, July 19- Albany Swing Band featuring Vocalist LeAnn Wind
A great variety of big band swing and jazz from the 40's through today performed by some of our area's finest musicians under the direction of Don Recek. www.albanyswingband.com
Monday, July 26- The Knox Brothers Gospel Band:
Six brothers performing mostly gospel tunes in the style of the Statler Brothers. Well known locally and nationally with many loyal fans. This is sure to be a fun and inspirational evening of good music.
Monday, August 2 - Misty River :
Compelling harmonic voices and instruments…where folk, country and bluegrass converge into Americana. This Pacific Northwest-based quartet of very talented women has been captivating audiences around the USA since 1997.
Monday, August 9 - Corvallis Community Band:
Another great band! Under the direction of Steve Matthes, this fine band has entertained the Corvallis area for 30 years. The member musicians include retired band directors, OSU faculty and other top musicians from the Corvallis area. Gale Hazel and Paul Pritchard will sing selections from Oklahoma! By Rogers and Hammerstein and a medley of Irving Berlin favorites.

Willamette Country Music Festival. Launch Party Thursday, August 19th @ 7pm. Gates Open: Friday, August 20, 1:00pm. Final act Sunday Night, 8/22, 2010. Brownsville, OR.
Featuring: 38 Special. "38 Special" began their historic run in 1975 in Jacksonville Florida and shot to concert stardom in 1981 with their first Top 5 single "Hold on Loosely". Shortly after "Hold on Loosely" reached #3 on Billboards Rock chart, they found huge success with two consecutive #1 songs,..."Caught Up In You" in 1982 and "If I'd Been the One" in 1983.
In addition, Featuring Joe Nichols- Nichols career skyrocketed in 2002 when his single "The Impossible" reached #3 on Billboards Hot Country Chart. Shortly after "The impossible" charted, Nichols released his 2nd album ( Man With a Memory ) which went platinum with the help of his smash #1 hit "Brokenheartsville". In 2005, Nichols released his 3rd studio album ( 111 ) which was certified gold. It's lead single "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" became his 2nd Billboard #1 hit. That album also produced two additional Top 10 hits,..."Size Matters" and "I'll Wait For You".

The whole family is invited to commemorate Memorial Day with a free concert by the Willamette Valley Concert Band, featuring a wide variety of music to celebrate the diversity of America's melting-pot population. The music will range from Irish to Cajun, from African-American to Appalachian, and from standard popular songs to patriotic favorites. Donations will be accepted to fund scholarships for area middle school and high school students to attend summer music camps.
Mezzo soprano Gale Hazel, of Corvallis, will sing George Gershwin's popular song But Not for Me, and baritone Pete Butler, of Lebanon, will sing Blue Moon. They will combine to sing a medley of patriotic favorites including Yankee Doodle, You're a Grand Old Flag, This Land is Your Land and God Bless the USA.
Hazel is a well-known singer who has soloed with numerous musical groups and in many opera and Broadway musical productions. She is a member of the Corvallis Repertory Singers.
Butler is also a well-known singer in the Willamette Valley who has also soloed with numerous musical groups. He also belongs to the Corvallis Repertory Singers and directs the Thorsmen choir in Salem. Both have soloed often with the Willamette Valley Concert Band.

The Lebanon Union High School Concert Choir under the direction of Kevin Wong will join the WVCB in a stirring arrangement of Battle Hymn of the Republic, by Peter J. Wilhousky, as well as a gospel version of America the Beautiful.
The concert also will feature music from the soundtrack of the Western movie, Silverado, written by well-known movie and television composer Bruce Broughton, and selections from Gershwin's famous opera about African Americans, Porgy and Bess, as arranged by Robert Russell Bennett.
Other selections will include The Irish Washerwoman, a well-known tune from Leroy Anderson's Irish Suite; Frank Ticheli's Cajun Folksongs II, based on Louisiana's Cajun music; Polly Oliver, arranged by Thomas Root; a beautiful setting of the old Appalachian folksong, and Nettleton, a moving version of an old hymn tune from America's South.
Several patriotic selections will include Celebrate America, a medley of well-known American patriotic songs; An American Fanfare by Rick Kirby, based on the song, America; and National Emblem March by E.E. Bagley, based on The Star Spangled Banner.
The concert will conclude with, first, the Armed Forces Salute, a medley of the official songs of the five main branches of the U.S. Armed Forces; and finally, the official U.S. march, The Stars and Stripes Forever, by John Phillip Sousa.
The Willamette Valley Concert Band, a community band based in Albany, was formed in 1970. Its membership includes about 55 musicians ranging in age from teens through senior citizens, hailing from Benton, Linn, Marion and Polk counties. The band plays at least seven concerts a year in the mid-Willamette Valley.
Band directors are Dr. Richard Sorenson, emeritus director of bands and professor of music at Western Oregon University, and Christine Barreto, a retired Lebanon music teacher.
