Picture Below:
Picture mix of the Chicken BBQ Cooking Processes. Approximately 200 chickens were on the grill. Note the heavy smoke, which drifted into the ARC Gym where we were broadcasting live.
It was even smokier than the camera captured. That's a lot of chicken!

Celebrating 11 Years
Northwest Horse Fair officials are proud to announce an exciting lineup of activities and clinicians for the eleventh annual Northwest Horse Fair and Expo, presented by SilverLite Trailers, March 19 through 21, 2010 at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany, Oregon. “This year’s event is loaded with action-packed entertainment and top-notch clinicians for equine enthusiasts!” said John Cloe, event founder and manager.
“We’re pleased to bring back the Extreme Mustang Makeover to the Northwest Horse Fair & Expo this year. It’s an exciting spectator event that really tests the trainers’ abilities to tame wild mustangs in a very short period of time!”, continued Mr. Cloe. Trainers will receive their wild mustangs December 1, and have 90 days to train and prepare them for the Extreme Mustang Makeover competition, organized by the Mustang Heritage Foundation.
In a total of 3 competitive classes at the Northwest Horse Fair, trainers will compete for $10,000 in prize money, as they show off their mustang’s conditioning, training and handling skills through a tough course of obstacles. The contest culminates with the Finals, where the top contestants showcase their horse’s best talents. “The crowds went wild for last year’s winner, ‘Mustang Sally’, as she showed off her jumping skills in the Finals, clearing 3 foot fences with ease!”, said Mr. Cloe. |
Following the Finals, all horses will become available for adoption through competitive bidding, on Sunday at the Northwest Horse Fair and Expo. Trainers for the Extreme Mustang Makeover are chosen from applications, due November 1 to the Mustang Heritage Foundation.
Costumes, color and pageantry will highlight performances by the Silver Edge Theatrical and Rodeo Drill Team, performing for the first time at the Northwest Horse Fair and Expo. The Championship Northwest drill team features fast pace drills with spectacular costumes and awe-inspiring music. Adding to the fun for horse lovers, the SilverLite Drill Team will present precision drills on horseback at the Expo, while horses in the Breed Showcase and Stallion Review “strut their stuff”, representing a wide array of horse breeds.
“In addition to the tremendous entertainment at the event, we have a great line-up of world-class clinicians and trainers who will provide first-rate clinics and demonstrations for the crowd’s enjoyment”, said Mr. Cloe. Daily clinics will include: Al Dunning presenting Reining, Working Cow and Cutting clinics; George Williams featuring Dressage; Nick Karazissis conducting daily Hunter/Jumper clinics; Peggy Cummings offering Connected Riding clinics; and Steve Rother giving clinics on how to Excel with Horses.
Shoppers will love the huge trade show offering a broad selection of products and services for horse and farm enthusiasts. Two buildings with rows of shopping booths will feature horse trailers, feed, clothing and equipment for horse and rider, equine supplies, farm products, artwork, gifts and much more!
Advance tickets for the Northwest Horse Fair and Expo are $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for children aged 6 to 12. Tickets at the gate are $12 per day for adults and $6 per day for children 6 to 12; children 5 and under get in free. Cash only at the gate. Advance tickets go on sale mid-January, throughout Oregon and Washington. Advance ticket sales end Thursday March 18 at store closing time.
