Dr. Young was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana and earned his bachelor’s degree at Louisiana State University, where he was valedictorian of 2000 graduates.
He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas while on a US Air Force scholarship. From there, he became a flight surgeon for the Air Force and was deployed to the United Arab Emirates for a short period of time. He then became the youngest officer in 20 years to be accepted into the dermatology residency program in San Antonio, Texas.
Before settling in Oregon in 2006, Dr. Young served as a staff dermatologist in Biloxi, Mississippi at the time hurricane Katrina devastated the region. He practices medical, MOHS/surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology.
