The 2008 Local Event Locations
Lebanon
Ralston Square Park, 4 - 8pm.
This years event is expected to draw 500 to join in the celebration. Join McGruff the Crime Dog for Free food, entertainment and a live on location Radio Broadcast on 920 KSHO and 1580 KGAL brought to you by Security Alarm Corporation. 1580 KGAL and 920 KSHO will be broadcasting live from the event from 4 to 7pm. There will also be a Classic Car Display and Fingerprinting. For a thrill try out the Rock Climbing wall from the Oregon Army National Guard. Plus there will be appearances by the Reach Helicopter and a K-9 Officer and his dog. All of this centered around the Gazebo at Ralston Square Park, Park and Oak, Lebanon, OR.

National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event which will involve 10,000 communities (about 34 million people) over all 50 states.

These local communities and neighborhoods are hosting a National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 5, 2008.
Police and Fire personnel will visit each event with the purpose of strengthening public safety/ community relationships, support neighborhood unity and promote crime prevention efforts.
This is a great opportunity for interested City officials to interact and share in a relaxed atmosphere with great food and fun activities.
Activities scheduled for evening of National Night Out (8/5/2008) unless noted.

Join 1580 KGAL local talk radio host Jim Willhight Tuesday, August 5th at 11:06am for a special Local National Night Out update on Valley Talk.
Joining us will be Dayla Johnson from the Lebanon Police Department to discuss the community wide Ralston Square Park event.
The event is designed to (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local crime prevention efforts, (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police/community partnerships and (4) Send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
