Lebanon National Night Out Event Details

Ralston Square Park, 4 – 7 pm.
On Tuesday, August 2nd, Lebanon Police Department will sponsor the 27th annual National Night Out. Neighborhoods throughout Lebanon are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “27th Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the Lebanon Police Department, will involve 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. In all, over 34 million people are expected to participate in “America’s Night out against Crime” on August 2nd. NNO 2011 is being supported in part by the Target Corporation.
This years event is expected to draw 1000 to join in the celebration. Join McGruff the Crime Dog for Free food, entertainment and a live on location Radio Broadcast on 920 KSHO brought to you by Security Alarm Corporation. 920 KSHO will be broadcasting live from the event from 3 to 6 pm.
Lebanon Police Department will hold a special event at Ralston Park between the hours of 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Bring your lawn chair to relax and enjoy music performed by Lebanon Police Detective Kevin Martinez. There will be free hot dogs and soda to the first 500 people. There will also be a celebration of McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog’s 30th birthday.
Life Flight will be arriving at 5:00 p.m. and much much more.
The National Night Out event will present several emergency and human services displays, vehicle displays, and crime prevention materials. Balloons and other handouts will be provided and fingerprinting courtesy of the Lebanon Masonic Lodge.
