To register a team or to get involved for the 2010 event
The American Cancer Society would like to invite individuals who want to honor cancer survivors and caregivers or pay tribute to those who have lost their battle with cancer to join its Relay For Life of the Lebanon Area.
This year's Kick Off is scheduled for January 26th from 6:00 pm at the Lebanon Public Library.
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is an overnight community celebration where teams camp out, eat, dance and take turns walking around a track relay style to raise funds to fight cancer.
At night fall, participants will lights hundreds of luminaria around the track in a moving ceremony to honor cancer survivors as well as friends and family members lost to the disease. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life represents hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

The Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's version of an athletic relay, but with a new different. Relay For Life is a family-oriented event where participants enjoy the camaraderie of a team and also raise funds to support the activities of the American Cancer Society. Participants camp out at the Relay site, and when they are not taking their turn walking, they take part in fun activities and enjoy local entertainment.
Teams from companies, churches, organizations, hospitals, and schools collect donations and can win individual and team prizes for their efforts.
