From the final May nomination period congratulations to Katy Albany who teachers at North Albany Middle School. She Teaches 6th Grade and 7th Grade Science and received her teaching degree from Oregon State University.

The announcement of her award was aired on the morning news update on 1580 KGAL with news anchor Radio Ray. Heather also was a guest along with Cascades Elementary School Principal Susan Straight on 1580 KGAL's Valley Talk with host Jim Willhight on Wednesday, November 17th at 11:35 am - 11:55 am. Heather Evans received $100.00 cash from Concept Systems and a $100.00 gift certificate from Shop 'n Kart. Her school, Cascades Elementary School will receive $500.00 worth of radio advertising to promote a school non-profit event. Her name will also be one of the nine monthly winners that will be eligible to win the annual Grand Prize, a Dell Desktop PC with software for the teacher's personal use. We are taking Teacher Feature Nominations now. The deadline for each month's Feature Teacher is on the 25th (see contest rules at link below). See contest rules link below for more information.

How to Nominate Teacher
Write a nomination letter (500 words or less) or nomination picture (on 8.5 x 11 inch paper or less) telling us why your favorite teacher should be the Feature Teacher. We will start taking Teacher Feature Nominations starting September 1, 2004. You can email us your nominations at teacherfeature@kgal.com, fax them to us at 541-451-5429, mail them to P.O. Box 749, Albany, OR 97321 or drop them off at the station during regular business hours at 36991 KGAL Drive, Lebanon. The first winning Teacher was announced in October. We will draw of the nine monthly award winners for the Grand Prize Winner in June 2005.For more details on eligibility see contest rules.
